We’ve got some big things coming up in the Mars Review, including a piece from an award-winning literary heavy hitter that most magazines wouldn’t publish. We’ve also got pieces on new fiction from Garth Greenwell, Gordon Lish, and Rachel Kushner on the transom.
Not only that, this month we’ve launched the Mars Review Podcast, which is already proving to be a a hugely influential masterpiece of the medium (my biased opinion). We’ll soon be recording at the podcasting studio of Pubkey, the best place for a beer and a (seed-oil free) burger in lower Manhattan. Plus we’ve got a new edition of Girls in Swimsuit Reading Books, and some personal pieces on the way.
A lot of this is going to be gated, so I figured it was a good time to offer a special Jewish Columbus Day discount code. Until October 31 ONLY, you can get 20% off for a year on a digital subscription to the MRB. Click here to claim.
What is Lucifer’s secret identity? Why are the feds going after New York Mayor Eric Adams? And was the revolutionary of May ‘68 a backlash against homosexuality? Mendel and Noah discuss this and more in the latest Mars Review podcast.
It's not recommended to get this drenched while reading
Talented photographer Katie Harless has the camera turned around the other way, poses on the street and in the shower, and reads from The Artist’s Way
In case you missed it, we recently published John Pistelli on Honor Levy and Madeline Cash, and Ross Barkan on Teddy Wayne. Give ‘em a read.
