Why the Mars Review is spending some time on Earth
Plus: A reading with Delicious Tacos in LA Saturday
Hello all,
You may have noticed some changes to the Mars Review of Books online. We’ve moved our full digital archive over here to Substack (aka Earth). This wasn’t our plan. But some changes at the companies we partnered with made it a necessity for now. If you’re a digital subscriber and you haven’t yet re-subscribed here on Substack, you’ll have to do so to keep reading the full digital archive of the magazine. Prices are the same, but “star tier” is now annual. If you’re a star tier subscriber and this doesn’t work for you, email me and we’ll figure it out. And you can still get a print-only subscription here.
We think this will be a great home for the articles, but we’ll still mirror our content on Urbit, and hopefully have a pay-with-Bitcoin integration up and running for those who prefer to pay that way. For now, please join our public Urbit group here.
Also—are you in LA or nearby? Come by Saturday Feb 10 to “Mars Review of Books presents LA Noir”—a reading we’re putting on headlined by
. It should be a grand ol’ time. Tickets are available here. The event is FREE for paid subscribers. If you’re a paid subscriber just reply to this email to let me know you’re coming. That’s all for now. See you on the other side of the paywall with more exclusive content, events, and a very special next issue that I’m not quite ready to discuss publicly yet.
